Join us for a very special evening of horsing around to benefit great programs of Heart of the City Mission Foundation & Summit Equestrian Center

It's going to be a GREAT evening on Friday, May 12, 2023 in the horse barn at LaCabreah Lane in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The evening begins at 6pm with BBQ and Fixins’ by Mission BBQ, Bourbon Tastings with Hotel Tango, Edwin Coe Distillery and Three Rivers Distillery, Specialty Drinks with Hotel Tango, barn tours, silent auction items and a Exclusive Cigar Lounge (separate tent) sponsored by Rudy’s Cigar Shop.

Featured Keynote Speaker: Major John L. Plaster, USA, Ret., former United States Army Special Forces officer, Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal recipient, and renowned author. Major Plaster will also be on hand for a VIP Meet & Greet Reception prior to the event.

The ultimate goal for Heart of the City Mission Foundation is to break the cycle of generational poverty. They believe it is of highest priority that young people are simultaneously developed in two areas: First, young people must be encouraged to exceed educational proficiency standards for their age group with the intention of attending a college or university. Secondly, we believe they must to be mentored into developing life skills and the so-called “moral compass.” This two-pronged effort requires long-term commitments from volunteers and the ability to bring every resource available into the process

Summit Equestrian Center is an Equine Assisted Therapy organization that serves families in Northeastern Indiana as they work towards physical, social, & emotional health goals. The Cavalry is their veteran specific programs that provide services to veterans, active duty members & their families at no cost. Finding community, purpose & strength through connection with horses can be powerful when battling the effects of TBI, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression & other remnants of their time in the service.
